The weather is likely to be fair on Wednesday according to a bulletin issued by PAGASA. The PAGASA monitors detected a low pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine area of responsibility but this will not have any impact on the nation.

Lying at a distance of 275 kilometers west northwest of Dagupan City, Pangasinan, it may not intensify into a cyclone. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), is constantly monitoring the Low Pressure Area (LPA).

However, the weather will continue to be fair today, they forecasted. But, the occurrence of isolated rain showers is a distinct possibility, PAGASA said.

Moreover, there is the presence of a high pressure area stretching across the Visayas and Luzon.

This high pressure area (HPA) is also affecting the easterlies that blow across the Mindanao region. Thus, the cloud cover will be patchy at some places while heavy clouds will cover some areas.

Hence, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience rain showers with thunderstorms likely at some places.

Wind speeds

The wind speeds will vary between moderate and light with the following predicted:
• From the Southeast to the South – Prevailing over the Visayas and Luzon, and
• From the east to northeast over Mindanao.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast to south will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the east to northeast over Mindanao, it added.

Hence, throughout the archipelago, slight to moderate coastal eaters will prevail.
