It was a fresh beginning for the latest 10 year-old singing sensation who earned standing ovations all along the way. While some contestants would express dissatisfaction on managing only a second place, Angelica Hale was on cloud nine.

The Filipino-American singer sent a wave of happiness through the hearts of all Pinoys. The little girl from Georgia earned accolades from the likes of Howie Mandel, Simon Cowel, Heidi Klum, and Mel B.

In the finale of America’s Got Talent Season 12, she won the hearts of the crowd and the judges. The singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne took the top spot ahead of Hale.

She has a heart of gold and bears only love for Lynne who had relegated her to second spot. She realizes that the victory heralds new goals and heights and marked it as #thebeginning.

Her rendition of Clean Bandit’s Symphony was the ultimate show stopper and clinched the second place for her. Her control over the high notes resulted in a thundering standing ovation for her.

In fact, all the judges rose as one with the wildly applauding crowd. The judges paid rich tributes to the mesmerizing singer who has a bright future. She received formal vocal training in her hometown.

She has been a budding singer participating for charity fundraising events.

Profile

Angelica Hale hails from Atlanta, Georgia and started quite early but contracted Strep bacteria at 4 years of age. The lung infection turned to double pneumonia, and hospitalization resulted.

Blood from the lungs started seeping into the abdomen and they airlifted her to a better hospital. The treatment continued for nearly three months involving a machine called ECMO that substituted for the heart and the lungs for 12 days.

Plasmapherisis and dialysis cleaned her blood and brought her back from the brink.

The routine dialysis continued thrice weekly but life finds a way. Angelica started vocal training at the age of 5 under the competent guidance of Coach Tricia Grey.

After that, it was a string of appearances and victories.

However, her brave story has a happy continuation; her mother donated her kidney providing her prodigal daughter a new lease of life.

Audition

The audition that Angelica Hale appeared in was Episode 1202 where she sang Rise up by Andra Day. That signaled her entry to the competitive Judges cut rounds.

The talented judges were Howie Mandel, Simon Cowel, Heidi Klum, and Mel B. Angelica’s singing so impressed them that she was accepted for the judges cuts.

For the Episode 1222 i.e. the final round, the following were her opponents:
• Mandy Harvey,
• Darcy Lynne,
• Sara and Hero, and
• Light Balance.

Darcy Lynne emerged at the number one spot while Angelica Hale took the runners up position.

But, believe me; the FIL-AM girl was the happiest of the lot.
